Paul Iesa Galloway is disgusted and frustrated. So he says in a letter to the editor of the Tennessean newspaper. ( Read entire letter here; http://www.tennessean.com/story/opinion/contributors/2015/01/15/tenn-muslims-condemn-paris-massacre-stand-freedom/21815283/ ) He writes in response to the horrific Hebdo attacks which occurred a few weeks ago in Paris France, by radical islamists. Apparently he is upset, and just so tired of his religion ( and him) being picked on. He writes:
“My disgust is magnified because these madmen linked my faith to their despicable vigilantism by shouting “God is great” in Arabic and claiming they “avenged the Prophet” in French”.
Mr. Galloway, your own doctrine of Islam, the Quran and the Hadiths are violent . In Fact, The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule. Unless of course Islam in America has a different prophet and god.
Quran (2:191-193) – “And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief or unrest] is worse than killing… but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone.
Quran (5:33) – “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement”
Quran (8:12) – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them”
And in the Hadiths :
Bukhari (52:177) – Allah’s Apostle said, “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. “O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.”
Tabari 9:69 “Killing Unbelievers is a small matter to us” The words of Muhammad, prophet of Islam.
This is just a small sampling of the violence that is promoted in the “holy books”.
Mr. Galloway continues: ” Frustration. I’m frustrated with being associated with terrorists.
That is your own fault. Period. You were the executive director of CAIR-Houston for how many years? CAIR not only was an unindicted co-conspirator in this country’s largest terrorism funding trial held in Dallas TX, CAIR’s national Co-founder and Executive Director Nihad Awad, is a self-proclaimed supporter of Hamas. I’m sure you are also aware CAIR was recently designated a terrorist organization in the U.A.E. (http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emiratesinternational/1395272478814.html )Until several years ago CAIR was formerly called the IAP, the Islamic Association of Palestine. Those, Mr. Galloway are terrorist organizations. If someone doesn’t agree with a group’s philosophy or agenda, one doesn’t usually join that group.
Mr. Galloway: “ Imagine constantly hearing that your neighbors doubt your basic humanity; that people question your values, your morals and perhaps even suspect you of sympathy for, if not actual support of, such evil. Now imagine all this is because of the actions of other people, people who you do not know or have anything to do with”.
Again, don’t blame others for your chosen path. Being a former CAIR executive director, and now being the director of an organization linked with well-known Muslim Brotherhood groups and individuals, no one has to personally know you to come to the conclusion you are either a supporter or sympathizer or at least hold the same ideology.
Mr. Galloway: Predictably, the attack served only to spread Charlie Hebdo’s gross and bigoted content to an exponentially larger audience. Yet many observers have recognized the content for its inherent problems. They are responding to bad ideas with better ideas, just as instructed by the Noble Quran — Islam’s revealed text. We can also find hope in the many voices that have come forward since the attack, opining on double standards, underreported revenge attacks, political and journalistic hypocrisy, theories about the attackers’ motivations and even stories of French Muslim heroism.
Funny you should mention the “Noble Quran”, the above Sura’s were taken directly from “Islam’s revealed text”.
It is interesting that attacks against Muslims go underreported, why is that? Is it because a vast majority of them did not occur? Where did they happen? Is there evidence of such attacks? As for theories about motivations, it is crystal clear for the world as they watched one of the radical Islamists yell “we have avenged the Prophet Muhammad” no further comment necessary.
Mr. Galloway: It is becoming increasingly clear that anti-Muslim bigots are the mirror image of Muslim terrorists. More dangerously, the two groups reinforce the claims of the other. Both Muslim haters and Muslim terrorists promote a clash of civilizations by claiming that Islam and “the West” are in irreconcilable conflict. Both advance extremist views of Islam that are categorically rejected by legitimate Islamic scholarship and the vast majority of Muslims.
In order to be a “good” Muslim, one must follow the Prophet Muhammad’s words and actions, the Sunnah and hadiths. Muslim terrorists, are doing just that. Unless of course American Muslims are allowed to pick and choose what suits you, there again making it different than the Islam “over there”. Because someone disagrees with your ideology, doesn’t mean they “hate”. It isn’t the Muslim terrorists promoting the clash of civilizations, it is your doctrine. Sharia law is not compatible with our Constitution, or with any man made law for that matter. The First Amendment allows you to practice your religion, not change everyone else’s.
Mr. Galloway: Terrorists, like bigots, seek to divide. To survive, they must perpetuate conflict and social strife. Furthermore, both terrorists and bigots are defined by what they are against — not what they have to offer. And perhaps most importantly, terrorists as well as bigots are forced to try and justify their evil means with the values and beliefs of those they seek to recruit
No, you are wrong Mr. Galloway, terrorists are not trying to divide, they actually are trying to bring the world together, remember a global caliphate? You know, where Islam is supreme and Sharia is the law of the land. Similarly, the Muslim Brotherhood believes in one religion, one government and one law. Sharia. Hardly divisive. They are attempting to accomplish this just as you are, only they use violence.
In closing, while you, Mr. Galloway, may use harsh words to describe those that speak out against Islam, perhaps it is you and your community that hate. While you claim to embrace the freedoms of all Americans, you seek to silence those that disagree or that aren’t accepting. While Muslims say they promote diversity and culture, Muslims from other countries now living in the United States, demand to be separate and unique. While you claim peace and tolerance, no other religion is so restrictive and violent. While you say you value the freedom of religion, Muslims refuse to allow others to exist.
Americans aren’t stupid, they may be slow to awaken, as we are a giving , trusting nation of people, but people are questioning a religion that calls for the demise of all others, demands inclusiveness, and massacres in the name of its holy book and prophet. Despite whatever names you will use to describe me, I am not offended.
“Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me” Try it sometime.
