On October 18, 2014, the Muslim American Center for Outreach (ACO) held a fundraising event in Knoxville.
The PR message was the usual “Muslims-as-victims” whine. Wearing a tightly bound fundamentalist hijab (as contrasted to her more revealing European chic style) director Remziya Suleyman, Tennessee’s self-appointed crusader against “anti-Muslim hate and bigotry,” parroted leftist and Islamic propaganda. It is doubtful that she brought up home-grown Memphis jihadi Carlos Bledsoe, who was radicalized by the imams at the ICN and al-Farooq mosque, and who killed an Army recruiting officer in Little Rock.
ACO’s event speakers included Kalia Abiade, Advocacy Director for The Center for New Community. Headquartered in Chicago, this is another group whose mission is open borders, expanding welfare entitlements and turning the U.S. into a socialist country. Abiade slurs these Americans as “nativists.”
Suleyman says Abiade’s work on perceived Islamophobia, is “amazing,” so Tennesseans should expect to see Suleyman add “nativist” to her grab-bag of name calling that for her, substitutes for facts.
Suleyman and her new Executive Director, Paul Galloway also spoke at the fundraiser.
Who is Paul Galloway?
Suleyman is a regular collaborator with and promoter of the Muslim Brotherhood offshoot, CAIR-Hamas. So, it makes sense that ACO hired Paul Galloway, who after he converted to Islam and took the name “Iesa,” founded CAIR-Houston and was Executive Director for 4 years.
Galloway has his own PR firm. He claims expertise in “rebranding,” “coaching interviewees for coverage in print media and television” and “crafting messaging.” Does this explain why Islamists all respond to questions with the same propaganda? Is this any different than the D.C. Muslim Caucus directive that Muslims must vote according to the consensus of the larger Muslim community, the ummah.
ACO’s founding and activities rest on unsupported allegations of Islamophobia. These allegations of public “hate against Muslims” are not supported by the annual TBI hate crime statistics or FBI data. Reasonable fact-based questions about Muslim Brotherhood affiliations are simply ignored, despite Suleyman’s open relationship with CAIR-Hamas and AMAC’s public affirmation of documented Muslim Brotherhood organizations.
Will new spin doctor Galloway help the ACO? And why does ACO need help? Is it mere coincidence that every one of the 24,274 acts of jihad since 9/11 were committed by Muslims? Are the ISIS beheadings, their mass killing of Christians, or the raping of young girls and women deflecting attention away from ACO’s Islamaphobia campaign? Is increasing public awareness about the high incidence of FGM (female genital mutilation) among Muslim immigrants and the increasing number of Muslim immigrants leaving to fight for the Caliphate, raising questions that Suleyman can’t invent answers to by herself? Has the rhetoric of ISIS raised questions about what Muslim students at Knoxville’s Annoor Academy Islamic school are being taught about the non-Muslims?
Does the ACO care?
Suleyman, Galloway and Mohamed Elibiary – oh my!
Paul Galloway was the coordinator of the Texas Dawah Convention. In 2012, Ms. Suleyman and ACO board member Danish Siddiqui were presenters at the convention, along with former Homeland Security Advisory Committee Obama appointee, Mohamed Elibiary. He left this position under “unusual circumstances.”
Memphis Islamic Center’s Yasir Qadhi, another speaker at the Convention may also know Galloway who is on the Leadership Team for MuslimMatters.org, an on-line publication created by Yasir Qadhi. Elibiary is listed on the website as a contributing writer.
Later in 2012, Suleyman and Elibiary were together again on an IPSU panel discussing among other issues, the spread of mosque building in the U.S.
Elibiary has a long and public relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood. He admits having a relationship with an official of the Holy Land Foundation who is now in jail for helping to finance Hamas. Elibiary also served on the Board of Muslim Brotherhood’s CAIR Dallas-Forth Worth chapter.
In 2011 Elibiary downloaded, classified Texas Public Safety documents to his personal computer and offered them to a media outlet claiming it was evidence of Islamaphobic activity in Governor Rick Perry’s administration. The media outlet disagreed.
Elibiary has publicly expressed his belief that ISIS will succeed in reestablishing the Caliphate which CAIR-Hamas wants. He identifies himself as a Republican who is now focused on “reforming the conservative movement ahead of the 2016 presidential election.”
Elibiary is the founder of Lone Star Intelligence, LLC and the Freedom and Justice Foundation in his home state of Texas. “The Foundation’s nonprofit status was revoked by the IRS in May 2010 for failure to file the requisite 990 forms that would reveal the entity’s source of income.” Coincidentally, the Muslim Brotherhood’s party in Egypt is also called the Freedom and Justice party.
Paul Galloway was Elibiary’s Lone Star Intelligence PR director and was on the board of Elibiary’s Freedom and Justice Foundation.
Suleyman, Galloway and Elibiary have more than speaking on panels and CAIR in common. All three hold to the Muslim Brotherhood ideology of spreading Islam and sharia law through aggressive, religiously mandated proselytizing (dawah) with political propaganda and activism.
Galloway’s new position gives him power to remake the ACO organization, coach Ms. Suleyman and keep the CAIR PR propaganda on message.
The ACO does CAIR!
