Deceit or Ignorance?

With alot of attention being thrust onto the Rutherford County and Murfreesboro Schools, one would expect some type of answer. So far….none. This lends us to believe there  truly is something amiss within the schools.  The following is a series of emails I have sent to Mr James Evans, the Rutherford County Community Relations Coordinator, the first one being on July 6 2012

Comments: Good morning,
> As a concerned citizen of TN, and with the new school year about to begin I would respectfully request to know if and when you will be hosting any “muslim ” culture training . I also would like to know who is conducting this training, and why this training is even being held.
> I appreciate the idea of “tolerance” and “Freedom of religion”, however this all seems to have gone awry with political correctness.
> Thank you
> CH

RESPONSE:

Ms. CH,

Thanks for your email. We are closed this week but I wanted to respond to you now instead of next week.  We do not have any “Muslim” cultural trainings scheduled nor have I heard any talk about having any. There were several rumors that started last week and we posted a statement on our website to address them. I would encourage you to go to our site, www.rcschools.net, to view the statement. Have a great weekend

RESPONSE:

Sir,

With all due respect, I have read the statements on the website, which  are untruthful and vague at best. There are a few problems with your statement. First, none of the issues brought forth from Mr Bell are about children practicing a religious belief or lack there of. The email, even though it is from 2008, is very disturbing because it clearly shows the Islamic Center has had contact with the school district. Secondly, the issue of training as recently as last May has also been proven .. If you need recollection of “Arab-Muslim Cultural training”, those emails can also be provided to you. I would suggest, the truth be told about the relationship between an organization that is using the freedom of religion as a guise to indoctrination. It has nothing to do with children “practicing” their religion, it has everything to do with an organization making”suggestions” on how to accommodate their children.

CH

RESPONSE:

Mr Evans,

Once again, I hope to get a reply regarding the following email I have sent 3 times to you.

RESPONSE:

Ms. CH

I have listed that I responded to you on July 6 (see my original response below). You sent a follow-up to my response, but it was a statement not a question. I was not aware that you were asking me to respond. I’d be happy to respond to any questions you have

Original response from July 6

RESPONSE:

Thank you. My question would be why are Rutherford County School personnel receiving “arab-muslim” training? It is not diversity training, according to their curriculum it is clearly indoctrination. Also, the company supplying the “training” has advertised “GSA Contract Holder” when in fact that is untrue. Also, were the parents aware of this training? Is the Rutherford County School District adhering to any of the “suggestions” made to the school by the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro, (even though that was in 2008)

Those are my questions

Thank you

CH

RESPONSE:

Ms. CH

I had to do some checking to make sure I had the facts. Murfreesboro City Schools hosted a cultural diversity training in May 2011 related to the religious customs of Muslim children. Representatives from Rutherford County Schools were invited to attend and approximately 4-5 RCS representatives attended the informational event.

RESPONSE:

Good morning James,

I am curious if the Rutherford County Schools have had cultural diversity training involving Hindus, Jews and Christians. Why the Muslims religion specifically?  Without sounding facetious, were the parents notified the US Dept of Justice was involved in this training? Thanks for you time.

CH

RESPONSE:

As I stated in my last response, we did not organize the session. It was hosted by Murfreesboro City Schools and we were invited to send representatives. About 4-5 of our people attended for educational purposes only. It was not organized by Rutherford County Schools.

— James Evans Community Relations Coordinator

RESPONSE

Perhaps you misunderstood… I asked specifically  1) if RCS  has had cultural diversity training involving Hindus, Jews and Christians?

2) Were RCS parents notified RCS Staff was attending this “arab-muslim” training sponsored by the US Dept of Justice HOSTED by the Murfreesboro City schools.

CH

END OF EMAILS

As you can see, there is not even an attempt to answer the questions. Is this deceit or is this truly ignorance?
